The stock market started its upward trend again and a lot of industry sectors managed to regain their foothold. Virgin Media recently conducted a survey among 3000 internet users in Britain to find out the level of digital awareness among them. The survey tried to do this by testing their knowledge on internet technology and terminology and other related subjects.
The results for the survey have turned out to be surprisingly poor. Keeping in mind that we all live in a society where internet plays a significant role, the results should have shown that we are reasonably digitally literate. However, that was not the case. 7% people said that Blu-Ray was a type of broadband service. More than 50% people said that they were unaware of the speed of their broadband connection.
