Being one of the one hundred most visited sites in the Internet with over 10 million clients to date, Intelius has made its mark not only as a successful business company but also a philanthropic organization, one which focuses its altruistic endeavors in the causes that support education. Through its founder and CEO Naveen Jain, it has contributed to a number of educational institutions including the Bellevue Schools Foundation. The Foundation has listed the IT firm as one of its Benefactor’s Circle.
“Intelius helps the Bellevue Schools Foundation in its work with the school district in the areas of academic excellence, strong teaching, and assistance for struggling students,” claimed Sherry Ladd of the Bellevue Schools Foundation.
Bellevue-based Intellius has also instituted a scholarship endowment program named Intelius Endowed Scholarship at the University of Washington. The program helped the university take on deserving students. The endowment was implemented to give financial aid to excellent undergraduate students in Business and Computer Science & Engineering.
“The Scholarships help us to keep University of Washington educations available to Washington’s top students, regardless of their means. We’re extremely grateful for this partnership,” said Ed Lazowska, Chairman of the University of Washington Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
Two other organizations who received scholarships and funding aid are Kairos Society and the Student Advocacy and Achievement Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping students fulfill their dreams.
Kairos Society was able to conduct its 1st Annual Summit as Intellius as a major sponsor in the early part of 2009. Five hundred top student innovators of the United States of America met and shared their experiences, ideas and knowledge.
The Student Advocacy and Achievement Services obtained financial support for their conference, Adventures of the Mind, a four-day mentoring summit where students interacted with the world’s most accomplished leaders.
